FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What ages is this event for?
Family Food Fest has something for (almost) everyone. We think children ages 5 and older will have the most fun – so will their parents. But younger children will enjoy it as well, just maybe not quite as much. Teenagers will like the classes and demos too, but we know how hard it can be to get them to do anything!
Does everyone in the family need a ticket?
Pretty much. Because there are things for everyone to taste and do, tickets are required for everyone 4 and older. We’ve tried to make the ticket buying process simple by offering some family tickets.
What do we get for the price of admission?
Your ticket gets you into the event, and access to all demos, interactive activities and cooking classes (these will be filled first come first served but will be offered several times throughout the event). You will also have access to the culinary marketplace where vendors will be sampling food and doing mini demos. Almost all vendors have something to do or taste!
What is the difference between VIP and General Admission?
VIP attendees get into the event an hour earlier, and have the opportunity to participate in a few smaller classes and demos and receive some special touches. There will be limited VIP tickets sold.
How much time should we plan to spend?
Family Food Fest is an all day affair with a lot of opportunities to do different things, from watch a cooking demo to practice knife skills to take a mini cooking class. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours, or just make a day of it.
My child is a picky eater, should we still come?
YES. There will be something for everyone, even picky eaters. And who knows, hopefully having the opportunity to learn knife skills or take a mini cooking class will open their horizons a bit. Regardless, they will still have fun.
My child has allergies, should we still come?
While Family Food Fest is not a completely nut free or allergen free environment, there should still be plenty to do. We will also have some specific demos and things geared towards children with allergies.
